Our role
Scrub scopes the work, prepares management plans and schedules field teams to meet Council’s programme requirements.
· Scoping and management planning across the local park network
· Targeted environmental weed control by the operations team
· Animal pest control using AT220 and AT230 automated traps in priority parks
· Field navigation and spatial records using Field Maps
· Tracklogs and monthly reporting
· Resource scheduling to meet Council performance requirements
Different parks and different priorities
Sites include the regenerating kauri forest of McElroys Scenic Reserve, the sedge- and raupō-lined dune lakes at Tomorata and coastal reserves supporting threatened forest. Work is tailored to each park’s habitats and pest pressures.
Tracking progress in the field
Field Maps helps crews navigate park boundaries and record key features as they work. Control progresses through Council’s defined management levels, with regular reporting and audits providing oversight of delivery and progress.
